Paper Designs

We began the elective by selecting interesting shapes from our sketchbooks from the first sememster.

The idea was to pick ones that excited us the most. I had a range of black and whoite imagery in my sketchbook so I had plrnty to work from. I chose six at first and thenselected my final two (see image  below).

 

 

 

We then photocopied these shapes so that they were enlarged and traced the shapes onto brown paper, cut them out and then got pinning them onto the mannequin.

The purpose of this excercise was to create interesting shapes preferably in 3D. I really enjoyed this excercise..a great hands on approach to designing!
